Being organised is one of those things people want to be, but it just takes too much effort. And then you go on Instagram and find these accounts of “Bullet Journaling” which is supposed to be easy, organised and beautiful. Easy enough, but it takes so much more effort, and although I use it, there are some easier tips and tricks:
1. Keep lists
So this may seem slightly obvious to some people, but it can really help. You then don’t need to worry about forgetting something! A plain list may seem a bit boring, so feel free to make it more colourful because it will be bolder and easier to remember, especially if you are a visual learner!
2. Keep a reasonably clear work space
This may be a bit of an annoying one, especially if it means having to do some tidying, but having a clear area in which to work can help you feel clutter free, even a clear patch of desk is a good start!
3. Make a note of an event or up coming deadline
This tip is similar to the lists, but can be used in a variety of ways. Say if you have an upcoming dead line or event, a post it note or a small notepad can come in handy, keep a note of what you need to do when, so you’re up to date on everything you need to know!
4. Tidy up often, and in little quantities
Often we dread tidying up, so the simple solution? Tidy often but in small quantities, hence not taking up to much time in your day, and stops the huge heap of mess you have to clear up all at once.
5. Make sure everything has a place
Simple. Don’t leave something on your desk or table thinking “I’ll deal with that later”, make sure every thing has a home and that you put it back there, this can remove clutter and mess., and overall keep yourself organised!
